Open Forum for Youth
We provide a forum for sharing opinions among youth and engage them in debates on current topics in the Czech Republic and Europe.
The European Youth Parliament Czech Republic (EYP CZ) is a student-led, non-profit organisation which belongs to a network European Youth Parliament (EYP), which operates under the auspices of the Schwarzkopf-Stiftung Junges Europa foundation. It invites up to 30 000 participants to its events annually, and thus has belonged to the largest platforms for extracurricular education in the Czech Republic and Europe for more than 20 years.
We inspire youth to active citizenship, tolerance and personal development through intercultural dialogue. The main activity of EYP CZ is organising conferences and other educational and informal events for secondary school students from the Czech Republic and other European countries. The main aim is to contribute to the development of skills and knowledge of young people in the Czech Republic by creating a platform for free sharing of opinions and teamwork.
We provide a forum for sharing opinions among youth and engage them in debates on current topics in the Czech Republic and Europe.
By cooperating with the Europe-wide network, we connect youths from different countries and backgrounds and deepen intercultural dialogue.
By involving young people in debates on current issues, we develop the so-called soft skills, such as teamwork, argumentation, rhetorical and language skills.
Youth from all over Europe can meet other active students at our events and create life-lasting cross-border bonds and friendships.
The European Youth Parliament Czech Republic is a student organisation focusing mainly on secondary school and university students. Our goal is to contribute to the development of skills and knowledge of young people in the Czech Republic by creating a platform for the free sharing of opinions and thus involve the students in debates on European and global topics. EYP CZ was established in 1998 and is one of the 40 sister organisations of the European Youth Parliament (EYP) international programme, which has been operating since 1987. Nowadays, it annually includes up to 30 000 young Europeans not only from the EU Member States but also, for example, from Switzerland, Turkey or Azerbaijan.
